Accuracy & corrections policy
Openwake publishes facts extracted from vendors' own public documents. Every fact carries a verbatim quote, the source URL, and the date the document was read.
What we promise
- We report what documents say. We do not rate vendors "safe" or "unsafe."
- A fact without a quote is not published. Low-confidence extractions are held for human review.
- We show the date each fact was last verified and the snapshot it came from.
Corrections
- Anyone may request a correction from the profile page (
/v/<vendor>/correct), by API (POST /v1/vendors/<vendor>/corrections), or at corrections@openwake.ai — with the disputed fact, what is wrong, and a source. - Every request and every resolution is appended to the signed ledger and shown on the profile. Disputes are part of the record, not a private inbox. Contact addresses are sealed and never shown.
- We acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve within 10. Corrected facts show a visible revision note; we do not silently edit.
- Vendors may claim their profile to receive change notifications about their own record and to submit documents we haven't indexed.
Takedown
- We index public legal documents intended to be read. We store excerpts and hashes for change detection and do not republish full documents.
- Requests to remove a profile are evaluated against the public interest in transparency; we will always remove content that is factually wrong and cannot be substantiated.
